Corporate Event Production Company Phoenix & Scottsdale: Dutch Bros Study | Centric Events
Corporate Staging & Design

Bringing a Legendary Brand Culture to Life: Inside Our Corporate Event Production for Dutch Bros

Dutch Bros is recognized across the country for its high-energy, people-first corporate identity. When their corporate leadership team planned an intensive internal culture and management training program for regional field employees at their Tempe facility, they partnered with Centric Events. Tasked with an unconventional, deep room configuration on the valley border, we stepped in as a premium **event production company in Phoenix and Scottsdale** to deliver a custom layout, balanced sound systems, and a multi-screen environment that kept every team member locked into the experience.

A company's culture is its greatest asset, and a live experience is the ultimate place to reinforce it. For a brand as vibrant and community-focused as Dutch Bros, an internal training program is far more than a typical meeting—it is a high-octane celebration of their vision. When their corporate office gathered field employees and new managers at their corporate site along the Rio Salado corridor, they needed a top-tier corporate event production company in Phoenix to design an environment that matched that unique energy.

The core challenge layout experts face is ensuring that large enterprise teams stay fully engaged when an event takes place right inside a company facility. The assigned venue space at their headquarters featured a non-standard, long and narrow layout. In deep room setups, traditional configurations often create an unwanted disconnect: employees seated near the front row stay perfectly plugged in, while those seated further back can feel isolated from the stage presenters and left out from the group conversations at their tables.

As an established live event production company in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Centric Events partnered closely with the Dutch Bros planning team to engineer a smart spatial layout, ensuring that every seat in the house felt like the front row.

Collaborative Visual Planning: To-Scale Layout Consultations

To completely take the guesswork out of the setup process, Centric acted as a collaborative design consultant weeks before the load-in. Our team produced highly detailed, to-scale architectural diagrams, allowing the Dutch Bros stakeholders to accurately visualize how various staging elements and seating choices would interact with the narrow space.

Walking through these layouts together gave the planners absolute confidence in their plan. Instead of trying to guess sightlines from a static inventory sheet, they could see exactly how our specialized staging models, architectural lighting tracks, and audio visual production setups would look, guaranteeing a high-energy environment built specifically around their training goals.

Overcoming Distance: The Midpoint Screen Framework

Because the training room was exceptionally deep, standard staging choices with just two screens flanking the main stage would not be enough to deliver a premium experience. Attendees sitting at the back rows would find it difficult to read presentation text, catch facial expressions, or feel a genuine connection with the leadership team.

A real-time horizontal view from the tech booth showing the full scale of the Dutch Bros internal training program. The presenter and primary stage are active on the left, tech screens align the bottom control station, and engaged employees fill out the deep room footprint.

To overcome this distance, we installed primary screens immediately left and right of the stage while positioning multiple high-definition midpoint displays further down the length of the room, as shown from our control team's perspective above. These auxiliary screens functioned as perfectly synced visual relays. No matter where an employee was seated, they had a clear, crisp view of the management training graphics, ensuring the entire audience stayed unified and focused.

Immersive Brand Accents: Custom Lighting and Gobos

Once perfect visibility was secured for all tables, we turned our focus toward transforming the corporate office space into a full brand experience. Our crew installed a tailored lighting setup that washed the room in rich, accurate color palettes that matched Dutch Bros' iconic identity.

The iconic Dutch Bros logo precisely projected onto the event facility floor using custom cut gobo lights.

To complement the room color fills, we utilized custom-cut pattern templates—known as gobos—to project sharp, high-contrast Dutch Bros logos directly onto the venue floors. This creative styling added an exclusive, intentional touch to the narrow layout, making the workplace environment feel like a premium, high-energy convention space from the moment guests walked in.

Balanced Audio Coverage: Crystal-Clear Speech

A long and narrow room also presents a major acoustic hurdle. Turning up a single pair of front stage speakers loud enough to reach the back row will overwhelm the attendees sitting in the front rows, while lower volume levels leave the back rows struggling to hear critical corporate systems and process training modules.

Centric resolved this by designing an even, multi-zone sound distribution layout. We positioned low-profile, high-fidelity speaker networks at calculated intervals down the depth of the room. This custom audio array allowed us to maintain a consistent, comfortable volume level across every row. Every presenter module, speech, and video soundtrack was delivered with absolute clarity, ensuring that everyone could listen, engage, and take notes comfortably without sound fatigue.

"The room's shape had us concerned about keeping our team connected, but Centric's multi-screen layout and to-scale planning changed everything. The energy stayed high, the visuals were perfect from every single seat, and our culture was beautifully represented."

Staging Comparison: Standard Front Layouts vs. Centric Multi-Zone Production

To see how a thoughtful corporate design updates a challenging room layout, consider the structural advantages built into our custom approach:

Production Category Standard Front-Stage Setup Centric Integrated Staging Model Direct Advantage To The Client
Screen Sightlines & Text Visibility
Visual Coverage Two main screens at the front; text becomes hard to read from the back rows. Front stage screens paired with synchronized midpoint displays. Guaranteed 100% visibility and content engagement from every table in the room.
Acoustic Balance & Clarity
Audio Distribution Loud front speakers that fade out or echo near the back boundaries. Distributed low-profile speaker networks mapped for even coverage. Delivered clear, crisp speech across all rows at a comfortable, uniform volume.
Visual Branding & Environment
Room Customization Standard overhead room lights or simple, generic color washes. Brand-calibrated ambient lighting with custom floor logo projections. Transformed a corporate room into an immersive brand experience that reinforced company culture.

The outcome for the Dutch Bros training program was exceptional. By looking past standard venue footprints and engineering a custom layout tailored specifically to the facility, Centric Events protected the energetic pulse of the brand. When you are planning a high-stakes corporate program, general session, or milestone launch in the Phoenix area, partnering with a design-focused production team turns any difficult room shape into an outstanding success story.

Questions Planners Ask About Non-Standard Room Layouts

In a deep room setup, text on screens at the far front quickly becomes unreadable for guests sitting past the middle rows. Adding midpoint delay displays duplicates the stage content further down the room, allowing every guest to stay fully engaged with the presentation slides without straining.
A gobo is a custom-cut physical template placed inside a professional lighting fixture to project a crisp, clear logo or pattern onto floors, walls, or drapes. This approach adds an elegant, high-end branding element to your venue, making temporary setups feel premium and intentional.
To-scale diagrams take the guesswork out of event logistics. By viewing your exact room dimensions alongside staging, tables, and screens, you can accurately evaluate sightlines, plan fire lanes, and finalize seating numbers with complete confidence before any equipment is loaded onto our trucks.
Traditional setups blast sound from the front of the room, which can overwhelm the front rows while remaining muddy in the back. Distributed audio uses smaller speakers placed throughout the venue space, delivering clean, clear sound at a comfortable, uniform volume across every row.
