The planners at Edged Data Center did not want a typical ribbon cutting with a basic podium and a generic banner. They envisioned an high-end, sleek tech reveal tailored to captivate local officials, major investors, and national tech media outlets.

Our team at Centric took on the challenge of transforming this cavernous blank slate into an polished corporate venue. By combining careful space design, high-contrast video elements, and rich lighting layers under a demanding setup timeline, we built an elite environment that exceeded expectations.

Shaping the Blueprint: Turning a Cavern into a Theater

The primary hurdle of working inside an empty warehouse is scale. Expansive concrete floors and high open ceilings swallow sound and make guests feel distant. To fix this, our team immediately redefined the room's footprint. We deployed full-height, premium black production drapery walls to isolate a beautifully balanced keynote area within the larger facility.

By bringing the walls in, we gave the event clear boundaries and a sense of exclusivity. This layout immediately eliminated the cold, empty industrial vibe, providing an intimate setting that directed every guest's attention straight toward the stage while improving the room's acoustics for crisp, natural conversations. Deploying a display of this scale inside a newly constructed facility requires careful logistics behind the scenes. We designed a multi-layered lighting framework featuring smooth room washes, dynamic moving fixtures, and elegant breakup patterns cast along the perimeter. This soft contrast brought the drapery lines to life and gave the warehouse deep texture.
